E revo 2.0 aluminum parts2/21/2024 ![]() Some differences in my opinion comparing my Traxxas experience and this Kraton as a RTR unit: I'll have to update in a few weeks once I have some time with it. That should be arriving in the next day or two. The center diff definitely needs higher diff fluid for my liking. Only drove it around (no jumps yet) for about 5-10 minutes and liking it so far. Been a bit busy and just started tearing off my roof this week. Now that's it's been 10+ years, Arrma has come a long way. Plus, back then Arrma was just starting out. I'm certainly not biased towards just one RC company, but Traxxas just had the better looking cars/trucks to me that suited my tastes. Was really tough but decided to take a risk and see if Arrma is as good as everyone claims it to be. The new Erevo 2.0 intrigued me as it got rid of the slipper clutch and upgraded the diffs. As this V5 gets more time on the market, hoping to see how it performs with the new chassis design, better TX/RX, etc. I hope I made the right choice! I know the first thing I need to do is add heavier fluid to the center diff. Spent many hours debating between the Erevo 2.0 and the new V5 Kraton 6S (for less than a Maxx, at $570). Had the 8S Xmaxx for a year or so (awesome truck, just too big for our house/yard.) and also a 1st gen ERBE. I've previously owned many Traxxas vehicles. ![]() So we just picked up the Maxx kit today (make that $600 now for the truck). Indeed think it's overpriced at $550, especially considering my wife is tired of it flipping over in the backyard at moderate speeds. Great little truck have only been running it on 3S thus far. Recently got back into the hobby and bought the wife a Traxxas Maxx. ![]() I hope I made the right choice.first ever Arrma!
