God of war faye2/17/2024 That's right it throws you right back into Midguard to finish any unfinished tasks you may need to complete. Even as the end credits roll you are never taken away from the game. I can honestly tell you there were times that I wasnt sure if I was supposed to controll Kratos or if it was a cutscene because they are both as one when it comes to God of War. Thats right no breaks to cutscenes, no loading screens, nothing! Apart from when you die of coarse. What blew my mind was that a game that has rougly a 20-25 hour story plus with an additional 10-15 hours of side content to tackle is that it is all done in one seemless shot. The greatest part of this game is getting to watch and experience the relationship between Kratos and Atreus grow and evole into one of the most epic Father/Son stories told of all time. But nothing and I mean NOTHING beats the feeling of throwing the Leviathan (Kratos Axe) for the first time only to recall it and feel a slight rumble in the controller as you catch it makes you feel like you are actually Kratos. The combat feels fresh and as fluid as ever. Within a short period of time we are introduced to new and yet familar Kratos and his son Atreus. Within just the first hour of playing you can really tell that the incredible team at Sony Santa Monica poured their hearts into this game. What I love most about this masterpiece is the people behind it. God of War came to blow that statement out of the water and it did just that. With so many questions about Faye's life left unanswered, many fans are hopeful that more details will be shed on Kratos' wife in God of War Ragnarok, the next game in the God of War franchise.A common term that has been bouncing around Game developers of late has been that single player games are dead and that multiplayer games are the way of the future due to their popularity. Although it is still unknown exactly what caused Faye's death, her influence remained strong throughout the game up until the ending of God of War. The final steps of Kratos' and Atreus' journey in Jotunheim reveal that the markings that are seen all through Midgard and other realms were Faye's way of guiding the two on the journey. It was somewhere in this time as well that Faye let the God of War use her Leviathan Axe to train for whatever challenges may lie ahead of him.Īs the prophecy was drawing close to its next stage, Faye knew that her time was coming to an end, so her time away from home was spent setting up marking for Kratos and Atreus to follow on their adventure. Not knowing where she would go or how long she'd be gone for, Kratos took care of everything around the house as Faye needed, giving her the freedom to set up their adventure unbeknownst to Kratos and Atreus. The novelization of God of War depicts some of the more recent memories of Atreus before the game actually begins, particularly where Atreus spent more time with Kratos before Faye passed away. Faye did not remain in Jotunheim for long, however, as a prophecy had depicted that she was to be with a great warrior from a distant land and give birth to a child who would be able to end the Aesir gods at Ragnarok. Jormungandr, one of the few surviving giants in Midgard, aided both Faye and Tyr in their final efforts by keeping Thor at bay before Faye returned to Jotunheim. Though Thor's wrath was unmatched, Faye and Tyr were able to rescue as many of the giants as they could before hiding the Jotunheim Realm Tower from Midgard. Additionally, having felt responsible for the massacre of the giants by designing Thor's hammer, the God of War Dwarven brothers, Brok and Sindri, crafted the Leviathan Axe for Faye as a way to combat Thor's Mjolnir. As the Last Guardian of Jotunheim, Faye set out to rescue as many giants as she could from Thor and his hammer, Mjolnir, along with the help of Tyr. After the Jotnar prevented Odin from being able to travel to Jotunheim again, Odin commanded Thor to massacre every giant he could find.
